The Dog Crèche
Is for dogs who enjoy the company
of other dogs, so 'on own' periods between the dog walker
calling and when you come home are non-existent.
dogs are in our home, with all the ensuing comforts. There is
a completely secure garden, plenty of toys to play with, and
comfy chairs for when they want a rest. They will have constant
company, both human and fellow canine, lovely
walks, and plenty of fun. As they are always supervised we
can ensure that each dog is happy. The pups and young dogs love
to play for most of the day, but obviously the older dog will
need a rest after a good walk, so we make sure they get some peace
the time you collect them they will have been walked, brushed
and had a good days play, so all you need to do after a hard days
work is take them home and feed them, and you should get a peaceful
I feel it is so important for dogs to learn to socialize and that's
where The Dog Crèche can help. By being with their friends
all day, they learn to share toys etc., interact well, and though
we don't have strict rules here we do like to see good manners.
you are enjoying a holiday in Dorset with your dog, you may find
there are places to visit in and around Bournemouth where
your dog is not welcome or the weather is particularly hot and
you do not wish to worry about your pet being uncomfortable. Early
booking is advisable as during the summer months we can become
dogs are driven to the forest where they are then allowed off
the lead (or on lead if you are unsure if they will return).
All new dogs wear a tag with our mobile phone number. As dogs
are pack animals and tend to stay together, this often helps with
recall training for puppies going 'off lead' for the first time.
Our hours are 7.30am to 6pm. Drop off time is between 7.30am and
9am, and collection anytime between 4pm & 6pm.
I am licensed by Bournemouth Council, and inspected quarterly
by them. In fact The Dog Crèche was the first day care
for dogs to be licensed in this area. You may have seen us featured
on Meridian TV some years ago as it was such a novel concept.

We love having birthday parties here, so please make sure you
remind us (a little in advance if poss) if you dog is celebrating
a birthday so that we can arrange a cake.
